The Puig Touring screen for the new Honda Transalp has been specifically designed to improve aerodynamic protection of the rider’s torso, especially on long journeys and at high speeds.
The design of the central surface has been studied in a virtual wind tunnel with the aim of eliminating the annoying turbulence generated by the original screen. Seen from the side, the screen stands out for its upper “flip” that deflects air upwards, reducing pressure in the ear area and eliminating acoustic vibrations. In addition, it incorporates a channel with an opening at the top that significantly reduces aerodynamic noise, improving the riding experience at high speeds.
The lower and side shapes perfectly adapt to the front of the Transalp, visually integrating with the headlight and providing greater lateral protection without breaking the bike’s original design.
Available in clear, light smoke and dark smoke finishes.
Made from high-quality CN acrylic material with a thickness of 4 mm.
Its total dimensions are 338 mm wide, 460 mm high and 65 mm deep.
The Puig Touring screen is 65 mm taller than the original Transalp screen.
Installation is extremely simple and is carried out using the same mounting points as the original screen, without the need for special tools or mechanical knowledge.
The aerodynamic study carried out by Puig shows that the original screen generates a pressure of 2 kg on the rider’s torso, while with the Touring screen the pressure is reduced to 1.1 kg, representing a 46% improvement in protection. This difference is especially noticeable in the chest area and contributes to a more comfortable ride, with less fatigue and greater safety.

Touring screens, developed by Puig in Barcelona, are designed with the objective to aerodynamically protect the rider without affecting his/her field vision. These Touring screens are manufactured using the most advanced technologies, using 4mm thick acrylic material, with UV protection and with a 2mm rounded edge. This finish gives it a more elegant touch and offers greater security, fulfilling with the regulations of the German TÜV.
The assembly of this screen follows a process that can be done without having to ask for a mechanic thanks to its simple and intuitive adaptation. The package also includes the aerodynamic studies that have emerged from comparing the Puig screen with the original in a virtual wind tunnel.
