The Puig Touring screen for the new KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE has been developed to significantly increase aerodynamic protection for the rider without altering the aggressive and modern styling of the Austrian maxi-trail motorcycle.
Its central surface has been aerodynamically developed to improve torso protection and reduce the turbulence generated by the original screen. It incorporates a distinctive upper “flip” that redirects airflow in a key area, particularly reducing turbulence around the rider’s ears and improving comfort while riding.
In addition, the central channel and two strategically positioned openings help reduce aerodynamic noise and increase the screen’s structural rigidity, providing greater stability at high speeds.
Inspired by Kaza-type aircraft, the screen stands out for its central diagonal edges, which reinforce its structure and give it a more technological and sporty appearance that integrates perfectly with the front-end lines of the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE.
The lower and side lines fit the motorcycle’s front end perfectly, providing seamless integration and increased aerodynamic protection.
The Touring screen is available in clear, light smoke and dark smoke finishes.
Manufactured in Barcelona using high-quality materials and the most advanced technologies in the industry.
It is made from 4 mm high-impact CN acrylic, offering excellent strength, stability and durability even under the most demanding riding conditions.
Its overall dimensions are 430 mm wide and 490 mm high.
Installation must be carried out by following the instructions supplied by Puig, using the motorcycle’s original mounting points and without requiring any additional modifications.
Its specific fit ensures perfect integration with the KTM front end and completely stable mounting while riding.
The Puig Touring screen is 100 mm higher than the original, significantly improving aerodynamic protection around the rider’s torso.
The aerodynamic study carried out by Puig demonstrates a considerable reduction in air pressure while riding: with the original screen, the rider is subjected to approximately 2.5 kg of pressure, while with the Touring screen this figure is reduced to 1.1 kg, representing a 56% improvement.
This reduction in pressure results in a more comfortable riding experience, less fatigue on long journeys and increased comfort and safety for the rider.
Touring screens, developed by Puig in Barcelona, are designed with the objective to aerodynamically protect the rider. In addition, these screens fit perfectly with the adventure style and aesthetics of the trail models thanks to their wide range of colors and different sizes.
These Touring screens are manufactured using the most advanced technologies, using 4mm thick acrylic material, with UV protection and with a 2mm rounded edge. This finish gives it a more elegant touch and offers greater security, fulfilling with the regulations of the German TÜV.
The assembly of this screen follows a process that can be done without having to ask for a mechanic thanks to its simple and intuitive adaptation. The package also includes the aerodynamic studies that have emerged from comparing the Puig screen with the original in a virtual wind tunnel.
