Puig continues expanding its new range of seat cowls with an important innovation: starting in 2025, Puig introduces a new mounting system specifically designed for naked motorcycle seat cowls. For the new Yamaha MT-07 2026 —also compatible with Yamaha MT-07 models from 2021 onwards— Puig has developed an innovative, bold and aggressive mounting system for one of the best-selling naked bikes on the market.
This new system allows the rider to install and remove the seat cowl without tools and in just 5 seconds. Thanks to its elastic cord system, the rider can quickly install the cowl when riding solo and remove it just as easily when the passenger seat is needed.
The new seat cowl for the Yamaha MT-07 features a strong design with sharp lines that match the shapes of the fuel tank and the rear side panels surrounding the seat. With the Puig seat cowl, these lines are emphasized, enhancing the rear section of the motorcycle and giving the MT-07 a more racing-inspired appearance similar to competition bikes.
Available in gloss black, matte black and carbon-look finishes.
Designed and manufactured at Puig facilities located next to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Montmeló using the most advanced technical plastic molding technologies.
Made from high-quality 3 mm ABS plastic in matte black or carbon-look finish, a lightweight and durable material. The kit includes plastic supports supplied pre-assembled as a single unit.
Total dimensions are 245 mm wide, 275 mm long and 90 mm high.
Installation is very simple. The seat cowl is placed directly over the passenger seat and secured using elastic cords that keep the part correctly positioned.
Once positioned, the tensioners are tightened to secure the cowl in place and it can then be installed in the same way as the original passenger seat.The next-generation tailpieces from Puig stand out for their aggressive design and appeal in leaving the rear of the motorcycle uniquely prepared for the rider. By converting the bike into a single-seater, it acquires a personalized and sporty aesthetic, resembling racing motorcycles.
Its carefully studied design aims to lighten the rear, simplifying the bike's lines. Additionally, we incorporate a 4mm thick black neoprene foam in the front area of the tailpiece to enhance rider comfort when crouched at high speeds. Designed and manufactured near the Circuit de Catalunya in Montmeló, Barcelona, this piece is made from matte black ABS plastic, glossy black, or a durable and lightweight 3mm thick carbon-like material.
Its installation is very straightforward, as the Puig tailpiece uses the same or similar anchoring system to make the tailpiece installation as simple as possible.
Depending on the model, Puig tailpieces include a kit of adhesives to maintain the bike's colors with the installed product.
