TEAM 109 RACING | WORLDSPB

Team 109 is a racing team that has established itself on the international motorcycle racing scene, particularly in the Supersport 300 World Championship (WorldSSP300). Founded by David Hurley and Paul Tobin in 2015, the Irish team has grown steadily to become one of the most competitive and respected structures in the European paddock.

During the 2025 season, the team competed under the name Team #109 Retro Traffic Kove, beginning a new chapter alongside manufacturer Kove. The partnership achieved immediate success, with Spanish rider Beñat Fernández winning the WorldSSP300 world title, securing the final championship in the category’s history before its official discontinuation.

Looking ahead to 2026, Team 109 is preparing for a new challenge with its move to the newly created Sportbike World Championship (WorldSPB), the category replacing WorldSSP300 within the World Superbike Championship. The team will continue its official collaboration with Kove and field a rider line-up consisting of Beñat Fernández and German rider Phillip Tonn.
