Fourth-place finishes, victories and podiums marked a successful weekend for Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team, AGR Team, Team Monlau Motul and Honda Laglisse.
The Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team left its home round in Misano with positive feelings, as Axel Bassani and Alex Lowes secured impressive fourth-place finishes on Sunday.
Bassani finished fourth in the Superpole Race, although a crash at Turn 8 while battling for third place in Race 2 denied him the chance to fight for a podium. Meanwhile, Lowes bounced back from a technical issue in the sprint race to cross the finish line in fourth place in the weekend’s final race. Following this strong performance in Misano, Lowes remains fourth in the championship standings, while Bassani climbs to sixth overall.
The eighth round of the World Superbike Championship will take place at Donington Park (United Kingdom) from July 10 to 12, following a short break in what has been a particularly demanding schedule in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, in Estoril (Portugal), the fourth round of the JuniorGP Championship was held. Despite some setbacks, Milan Pawelec once again claimed a podium finish with AGR Team, further confirming the outstanding form he has displayed throughout the season.
In the Stock category, Yeray Ruiz of Team Honda Laglisse delivered one of the most thrilling moments of the year. The Spanish rider claimed victory by just 0.001 seconds over his closest rival, capping off a breathtaking finish that already ranks among the most spectacular endings of the season.
Meanwhile, Team Monlau Motul once again played a leading role in Moto3 thanks to Travis Borg. The rider remained in the leading group throughout the race and fought for victory until the final lap, eventually crossing the finish line in second place, just 0.058 seconds behind the winner. He also completed an outstanding performance by setting the fastest lap of the race with a time of 1:43.615.
The results achieved in Misano and Estoril reflect the excellent form of the teams and riders sponsored technically by Puig, who continue to shine both on the international WorldSBK stage and in the JuniorGP categories.
